If you’re looking to create your first website, or you’ve been using one of the many hosted solutions such as Blogger, Tumblr or WordPress.com, then it can be a little nervewracking to switch to a self-hosted site. But there are a lot of advantages to owning your own domain, such as the knowledge that you have absolute control over it – and self-hosted solutions mean you can ensure you always have your content backed-up as well as having much more flexibility over the design and functionality of your site.
To help you make the switch to self-hosting, we offer assistance with both securing the right domain name for your business, and also with setting up and hosting your WordPress-based blog or website.
Our standard WordPress package includes
- Importing all existing content (And assistance with exporting from the major content platforms in the right format).
- Access to a selection of premium themes included in the price.
- Uploading your logos and favicons.
- Ensuring WordPress is correctly set-up for the best SEO results, and implementing any analytics code or RSS feeds.
- Installing our recommended set of WordPress plugins for SEO, Anti-Spam, Social Media Sharing, and other additional functionality.
- One Year of Hosting. We serve our sites with a reliable and high quality UK-based internet host, and you’ll get full access to the management dashboard, and FTP access is desired.
- One Year of regular back-ups. Everyone knows they should back up their site regularly, but it’s easy to forget. We’ll ensure your site is backed up on a regular basis, and also monitor for any downtime, ensuring that if your service is interrupted for any reason, we can fix it straight away, or alert you if there’s a more significant issue. And if needed, we can assist in redirecting your url on a temporary basis until the problem is sorted.
